Agents of Shield "Turn, Turn, Turn" Review - The real show now begins

Well the real show begins now me thinks after the events of the latest episode of Agents of Shield.

So this week was part 2 of the big crossover and tie in with Captain America Winter Solider so I will say now that if you haven't watched up to the latest episode of Agents of Shield and the Winter Solider then STOP READING MASSIVE SPOILERS!

So if your still around this was part 2 of the big story line and tie in which can I just say how much better this tie in was for the winter solider unlike Thor Dark World. Well the less said about that one the better really 10 minutes at the start of them in London and then the rest is a completely different adventure yeah great that was. But yeah this week was the big storyline where Coulson and the rest of the team found out the big secret that Shield had been infiltrated by Hydra and were now being taken over. What was great about this is just how well it tied into the events of The Winter Solider by showing us what happened at another Shield base when all of this went down it was great seeing how other people loyal to Shield went about it. My only problem with this episode and it is probably the only point is the timeline was a bit out. Im sure that when I watched the film there was at least a few days between the death of Fury and Cap taking down the helicarriers and "Hydra". But I guess the problem with having a hour show its hard to get that all right and in time but other then that they managed to tie the group in well. Mai has a secure line to Fury it turns out which is something that I thought that it might be after watching Winter Solider so it makes sense for him to have loyal people on frequencies away from Shield. But what it makes me wonder is was those first 15 episodes just a filler to get to the Winter Solider and when the real show would begin. Because if you remember rightly  there was stuff that Mai knew about that she wasn't telling Coulson so maybe thats the reason Fury knew there was stuff going on in Shield so he wanted to keep things quiet and to a small trusted team.

But if you have watched Winter Solider then going into this episode I don't know if you were the same but I was really tense and just stressing about who the untwist worthy people could be. I mean after watching Winter Solider you know that not everyone in Shield can be trusted and that at least one member of the team would have to be a hydra agent just makes sense. So when Ward at the end of the episode kills the soldiers in cold blood with no remorse for his actions I sat there and said "I knew you were to good to be true" I don't know why but was it just a bit to safe and obvious to go with Ward as the agent because throughout the episode they had given us hints to different members of the team that it could be. First there was Fitz who for a while I thought shit maybe the little Scottish boy is the Hydra agent but then he wouldn't do well in a fight against the rest of them would he not exactly the fighting type. Then they made you think the same with the rest of the team even then making you think that it might be Coulson which again would be to obvious and stupid seeing as he's fan faviroute and leader of the show. But what I thought wouldn't it have been great if it had been Sky that all along Hydra had her under surveillance and protected then when she was ready have Coulson find her and then infiltrate the team. I don't know why I think it would have just been cool and made sense and then we might finally get the whole thing with her parents sorted and finally get straight answers for that. I just hope and pray that they stick to this whole Ward being a Hydra agent and don't get to episodes into it and he has a epiphany and goes oh no I'm so sorry for what I did and re join the team. Because I'm going to be honest with you now I will stop watching it because Ward is like the drip of the group he doesn't really contribute anything to the show other then to be the good looking member of the group. He's the looks because lets be honest he certainly isn't the brains of the operations is he. So just stick to it and go for it do something ballsy and go down the same brilliant style of Winter Solider make for a great show now and kill Ward off. Have it that Sky or Coulson have to kill him wouldn't that make for some drama be great to watch those.

So we also found out in this episode the identity of the clairvoyant well well well that was a shock wasn't it i say as i *facepalm* it wasn't exactly hard to work out was it. I know that it was meant to kinda of one of them shock moments of the episode where you go oh no but I trusted you I thought we were friends. But all I sat there doing was wait it took you till now to realise that he was the clairvoyant it wasn't exactly hard to guess was it really. So lets just say it now it was Garret so lets be honest he was dodgy from the start weren't he and the thing that made my suspicious correct was when Agent hand spoke about how Hydra infiltrated shield. By that they will friendly, make you trust them and will show themselves as loyal to you to get you on their side. Thats when I realised I was right about him because if you look back at the few episodes that Garret had appeared in then you realise that he was always with Coulson as much as possible anyway and was always trying to get him on his side. Then Ward was obvious as well now you look back at it mainly the way he killed the fake clairvoyant in cold blood. That whole it was to save her story was a sweet little lie that you can tell people but we all know that you talk more lies then Pinnochio now don't we. But wouldn't it just make sense now for them to kill Ward off because he doesn't really bring anything to the show does he, I mean Mai brings more to the show and she's the one that isn't meant to show any emotion.

Now I have been very hard on this show in the past mostly because I always saw it as just an experiment for the bigger picture that Marvel were going for. And I think I was partially right as well because you look back at the first 16 episodes and they were just an experiment and filler weren't they for when the real show begins. It was all just to see the audience and what the fans would think of it and sure that its had a small tiny dip in the last couple of weeks as far as the ratings are concerned but it still does great in the ratings war. But what I want to know now is where to they go from here because I  know that we are getting to episodes back to back soon but the show can't exactly be called agents of shield. I would love them to just call it agents of Hydra for a week because technically thats what its been all this time hasn't it if you think about it the real show has been Agents of Hydra fine we didn't know but it was. Thats why I loved that little Hydra logo at the end of the show it made me excited for these last few episodes of the series. But with Sheild being basically no more now Coulson said assemble a team so could we be looking at more people becoming part of the Coulson clan. Who knows maybe we might see people Commander Hill turn up in the show wouldn't that be great have her and Coulson leading the team. I just hope that this is going to be the bigger picture that they are hoping for and that the show is now going in the direction that they wanted it to all along. But lets wait and see could just end up having everything being put back to normal with sunshines and rainbows next week nothing would surprise me with this show. I would just love for this to make for a great new re-boot and re-vamp for the show.

But overall I thought this was a great tie in to Winter Solider and cleared up everything and gave a nice perspective from another part of Shield. What I will point out is that I thought it was great that they said that they don't know Caps where about's and I don't know if this is true but I don't think that they know that Fury is still alive either. So will be great to see where all of this takes the show in the last few episodes of the season. But overall this has really made me excited for the series now and actually got me excited for whats to come for the reset of the season so lets just wait and see. But would love to know what everyone else thought if you watched it and what did you think about Garret and the big Ward shock (minor shock)??
